Code execution via unsafe checkpoint deserialization
Published Dec 23, 2025 · Updated Dec 23, 2025
Unsafe checkpoint deserialization in Hugging Face Accelerate allows remote attackers to execute code in the current process. Checkpoint parsing fails to validate supplied data before deserializing it, allowing embedded objects to invoke code during loading. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious checkpoint, and execution inherits the process context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
