Privileged-user escalation to additional server access
Published Mar 25, 2026 · Updated Mar 25, 2026
Privilege escalation in IBM WebSphere Application Server Liberty 17.0.0.3 through 26.0.0.3 allows remote authenticated users elevated access. The flaw is confined to the restConnector-1.0 and restConnector-2.0 administrative features, but IBM has not disclosed the faulty operation. Exploitation requires a privileged account and one of those features to be enabled; IBM reports added application-server access with confidentiality and integrity impact but no availability impact.
