Settings modification via missing nonce verification
Published Jan 24, 2026 · Updated Jan 24, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Michael Torbert Moderate Selected Posts 1.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to modify settings via forged requests. The msp_admin_page() function accepts state-changing administrative input without verifying a WordPress nonce, so an external request is processed under the administrator's active session. Exploitation requires a logged-in site administrator to follow an attacker-controlled link or otherwise submit the forged request; the bounded consequence is unauthorized changes to post-moderation settings.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
