CVE-2025-14884Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Root command execution via unsanitized firmware input

Published Dec 18, 2025 · Updated Dec 18, 2025

Command injection in D-Link DIR-605 202WWB03 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via a crafted firmware file. The check_upgrad() function formats an untrusted firmware-file value into an unquoted umount command with sprintf() and executes it through system(). Administrative access to the firmware upload service is required, and injected commands execute with root privileges on the router.
