Cross-user file disclosure via unchecked UUID ownership
Published Dec 19, 2025 · Updated Dec 19, 2025
Authorization bypass in pretix GmbH pretix-offlinesales 1.12.0 through 1.12.1 allows remote authenticated users to read other users' files. The API download action looks up a CachedFile solely by an attacker-supplied UUID and returns its contents without verifying that the file is bound to the requesting API session. Exploitation requires low-privileged API access and prior knowledge of a valid target UUID, typically obtained through a separate exposure such as logs.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
