Unauthenticated order-status modification via unverified callback
Published Jan 14, 2026 · Updated Jan 14, 2026
Missing authorization in Netcash WooCommerce Payment Gateway 4.1.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter WooCommerce order status. The handle_return_url callback trusts return data and changes the referenced order to processing or completed without server-side verification of the Netcash transaction. No WordPress account is required; exposure of the public callback permits false processing or completion states for arbitrary orders.
