Administrative changes via nonce-free route dispatch

Published Feb 14, 2026 · Updated Feb 14, 2026

Cross-site request forgery in LatePoint 5.2.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to trigger administrative actions through forged requests. The routing layer's call_by_route_name function checks the signed-in user's capabilities but dispatches state-changing routes without verifying a WordPress nonce. Exploitation requires a site administrator with an active session to follow a crafted link or submit a crafted form, and resulting changes are limited to actions that administrator can perform.
