Stored XSS via decoded form-field HTML
Published Dec 21, 2025 · Updated Dec 21, 2025
Stored XSS in Brainstorm Force SureForms 2.2.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts through submitted form fields. The entries.js admin interface decodes stored HTML entities back into tags, then passes the result to React dangerouslySetInnerHTML without sanitization. Execution occurs when an administrator views the submitted entry, exposing the administrator's browser session to attacker-controlled script.
