Privilege escalation via unprotected factory-mode activity
Published Dec 17, 2025 · Updated Dec 17, 2025
Missing authorization in TECNO POVA 6 Pro 5G HiOS 14.0.0 allows attackers to enable ADB debugging through a third-party app. The com.transsion.tranfacmode.entrance.main.MainActivity component accepts constructed intents without enforcing a permission check before opening the privileged debugging function. A third-party app installed on the handset can reach the activity without user interaction, exposing ADB capabilities to an otherwise unprivileged app.
