SQL credential disclosure via plaintext GUI display
Published Apr 8, 2026 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cleartext credential exposure in affected Mitsubishi Electric automation products allows local users to obtain SQL Server credentials. The Hyper Historian Splitter feature displays the SQL authentication username and password in plaintext in its GUI instead of masking the sensitive values. When SQL authentication is configured, a logged-in local user can reuse those credentials to read, alter, or destroy SQL Server data or interrupt the service.
