Subscriber-level arbitrary file deletion via path traversal
Published Jan 7, 2026 · Updated Jan 7, 2026
Path traversal in N-Media Frontend File Manager Plugin before 23.5 allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary server files. The wpfm_save_file_data AJAX workflow accepts a traversal-bearing uploaded_files filename and later deletes that path without validating ownership. Subscriber access to a page containing the ffmwp shortcode is sufficient; deletion of configuration or application files can interrupt the site.
