Stored XSS via unescaped hidden-field values
Published Jan 9, 2026 · Updated Jan 9, 2026
Stored XSS in NEX-Forms before 9.1.8 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts when an administrator views a crafted form. The hidden-field editor stores unescaped field values, so an HTML event handler supplied in both hidden-field values executes in the form viewer. Exploitation requires form-creation access, which defaults to administrators but can be granted to subscribers, and an administrator must view the saved form.
