Database disclosure via unprepared city lookup query
Published Jan 14, 2026 · Updated Jan 14, 2026
SQL injection in Shipping Rate By Cities 2.0.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to read sensitive database data via the city parameter. The shiprate_validate_city AJAX handler passes the city value to getCityFee(), which interpolates it inside a SELECT statement instead of binding it with $wpdb->prepare(). No authentication or user interaction is required; a crafted POST request can alter the query and expose database contents.
