CVE-2025-14751Network attack vector

Authenticated privilege escalation via unverified password change

Published Jan 22, 2026 · Updated Jan 22, 2026

Unverified password change in Weintek cMT X EasyWeb 2.0 allows remote authenticated users to escalate privileges over the network. The System Password operation accepts a new credential from a low-privileged session without confirming the current credential or revalidating the user's authentication state. Any user with limited EasyWeb access can take over a higher-privileged identity and gain its configuration, data, and device-control permissions.
