Configuration disclosure via unauthenticated httpd download
Published Dec 18, 2025 · Updated Dec 18, 2025
Improper authentication in TP-Link TL-WA850RE V2_160527 and earlier and V3_160922 and earlier allows remote attackers to download the configuration file. The httpd module serves the device configuration without authentication, but TP-Link and the technical disclosure do not identify the request handler or missing validation. Access requires reachability from an adjacent network and exposes administrator credentials and other sensitive settings without changing or interrupting the device.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
