CVE-2025-14737

Root command execution via unsanitized execve arguments

Published Dec 18, 2025 · Updated Dec 18, 2025

Command injection in TP-Link TL-WA850RE V2_160527 and earlier and V3_160922 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run root commands. The httpd server passes unsanitized attacker input as arguments to an execve() call, causing injected commands to execute with root privileges. Access is limited to an adjacent network and requires administrative authentication; compromise permits full control of the extender.
