Authenticated database disclosure via unprepared taxonomy query
Published Jan 7, 2026 · Updated Jan 7, 2026
SQL injection in Relevanssi before 4.26.0 and Relevanssi Premium before 2.29.0 allows remote authenticated users to read database data. The relevanssi_admin_search AJAX handler accepts a nested tax_query taxonomy value in args and incorporates it into an unprepared SQL query. Contributor-level access and a valid searching nonce are required; successful injection can extract sensitive WordPress database information.
