Unauthenticated file operations via COPY path traversal
Published Dec 15, 2025 · Updated Dec 15, 2025
Path traversal in the /eshell API of sgwbox N3 Firmware 2.0.25 allows remote attackers to perform unauthorized file operations. The endpoint accepts a POST body whose COPY params contain dot-segment separators and resolves the supplied paths without enforcing an authorized-directory boundary. No authentication or user interaction is required, and consequences are bounded by the firmware service's filesystem permissions.
