Client-side script execution via unvalidated URL fragment

Published Dec 14, 2025 · Updated Dec 14, 2025

DOM-based cross-site scripting in Mayan EDMS 4.7 through 4.10.1 allows remote attackers to run script via a crafted URL fragment. The partial-navigation code interprets window.location.hash as a navigation target and assigns it to window.location without restricting the scheme or origin. A victim must voluntarily open the crafted URL; execution remains in that browser session and does not bypass server-side access controls or expose data beyond the victim's existing authorization.
