Router crash via oversized Wi-Fi schedule parameters

Published Dec 14, 2025 · Updated Dec 14, 2025

Buffer overflow in Tenda AC20 16.03.08.12 allows remote authenticated users to crash the router through a crafted Wi-Fi schedule request. The setSchedWifi handler copies schedStartTime or schedEndTime with strcpy into a 25-byte heap buffer without checking the input length. Low-privileged management access is required; the public proof of concept demonstrates denial of service, while code execution remains unverified.
