Command execution via undersized rebootTime stack buffer
Published Dec 14, 2025 · Updated Dec 14, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC20 16.03.08.12 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands or crash httpd. The formSetRebootTimer handler passes an unrestricted rebootTime value to sub_497114, where sprintf writes two up-to-10-digit integers into an eight-byte stack buffer. Access to the router's web management interface is required; a crafted POST to /goform/SetSysAutoRebbotCfg can terminate the service, while the published analysis also reports arbitrary command execution.
