CVE-2025-14617Public exploit

Arbitrary file overwrite via unvalidated import filename

Published Dec 13, 2025 · Updated Dec 13, 2025

Path traversal in JW Library 15.5.0 and 15.5.1 for Android allows local users to overwrite internal app files through file import. SiloContainer accepts a content provider's _display_name during an ACTION_SEND import and uses ../ segments without confining the destination to the import directory. The attack requires a local malicious app and user launch; the demonstrated overwrite corrupts configuration and can prevent JW Library from starting.
