Stored XSS via unescaped widget attributes
Published Apr 26, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in BdThemes Element Pack 5.10.29 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through Elementor widgets. Dual Button, Creative Button, Image Stack, and other widget renderers accept user-controlled settings without sufficient sanitization and emit them without adequate output escaping. Contributor-level access is sufficient; injected scripts run in a visitor's browser whenever the affected page is viewed, enabling page manipulation and access to data available in that browser context.
