Stored XSS via unescaped General Settings values
Published Jan 12, 2026 · Updated Jan 12, 2026
Stored XSS in AYS Pro Quiz Maker before 6.7.0.89 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a viewer's browser. The General Settings Erase Quiz Data form stores crafted ays_answer_default_count, ays_right_answer_sound, or ays_wrong_answer_sound values without sufficient sanitization or output escaping, so an injected autofocus event handler executes when rendered. Administrator-level access is required, and the issue remains reachable when unfiltered_html is disabled, including in WordPress multisite deployments.
