QML code injection via unsanitized SVG node IDs
Published Apr 30, 2026 · Updated Apr 30, 2026
Code injection in Qt Framework 6.8.0 through 6.8.6 and 6.10.0 through 6.10.1 allows attackers to execute QML/JavaScript via malicious SVG files. QSvgVisitorImpl::fillCommonNodeInfo passes each unfiltered node ID into generated QML as an object name, allowing illegal characters to alter the output. Exploitation requires an application using Qt Quick VectorImage to load an attacker-supplied SVG through user interaction; resulting code runs in the application context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=6.10.0 <=6.10.1
