Authorization bypass in Mattermost 10.11.0 through 10.11.9 allows remote authenticated users to add users to restricted teams via API requests. The team update and patch handlers accepted allow_open_invite changes after checking team-management rights without enforcing the separate invite-user permission. A team administrator who can manage team settings but lacks invite rights can enable open invitations and use the resulting invite path to add users.
