Stored XSS via unvalidated toggle-link responses
Published Jan 14, 2026 · Updated Jan 14, 2026
Cross-site scripting in Drupal Flag 7.x-3.0 through 7.x-3.9 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in a victim's browser. The JavaScript toggle handler follows attacker-supplied flag links without validating local targets, while the PHP path does not prove that responses came from Flag. Exploitation requires permission to create links in filtered site content and a victim to activate the crafted link.
