XXE in RTI Connext Professional Core Libraries allows remote attackers to read local files or crash applications through malicious XML. The Core Libraries XML parser resolves attacker-controlled external entity references instead of rejecting them, loading referenced local resources during parsing. Without Security Plugins, a malicious XML document can arrive over the network; with RTPS protection enabled, exploitation requires local access to supply or modify application XML.
