Stored XSS via unescaped Page Display Options
Published May 15, 2025 · Updated May 16, 2025
Stored XSS in The WP Ninjas Ninja Pages 1.4.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through plugin settings. The Page Display Options setting stores an entered value without sanitization and renders it after saving without output escaping. Administrator-level access is required, and exposure is limited to installations where unfiltered_html is disabled, including multisite; saving the crafted setting executes the stored script in the browser.
