Authenticated log forgery via unsanitized customer fields
Published Dec 11, 2025 · Updated Dec 11, 2025
CRLF injection in Code Projects Rental Management System 2.0 allows remote authenticated users to forge transaction-log entries. Transaction.java concatenates unsanitized customer name, location, and contact strings into lines appended to Transactions_Inventory.txt, allowing embedded carriage returns or line feeds to create attacker-chosen records. Access to the application's authenticated rental workflow is required, and the demonstrated consequence is integrity loss in the stored transaction log.
