Authenticated code execution via unchecked image upload
Published Dec 11, 2025 · Updated Dec 11, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in SourceCodester Real Estate Property Listing App 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code. The image handler in /admin/property.php retains the supplied extension and stores the file without a type allowlist or blocklist, allowing a .php payload to remain executable. Administrative login is required; successful exploitation places a reachable web shell under the web server's privileges.
