Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped data-hover attribute
Published Feb 27, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored DOM-based XSS in Premio Chaty 3.3.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through the data-hover parameter. The front-end widget script reads the stored data-hover value and places it into the page DOM without adequate sanitization or output escaping. Contributor-level access is required to store the payload, and the script runs when another user opens the injected page, enabling actions in that user's browser session.
