Local privilege escalation via insecure script loading
Published Dec 23, 2025 · Updated Dec 23, 2025
Uncontrolled search path handling in TradingView Desktop 2.11.0.7073 allows local users to execute code as a target user. The Electron configuration loads a script from an unsecured location, allowing attacker-controlled code placed there to run when the application resolves it. Exploitation requires prior low-privileged code execution on the host and results in arbitrary code execution with the target user's privileges.
