Unauthenticated PHP code execution via shortcode path inclusion
Published Dec 13, 2025 · Updated Dec 13, 2025
Local file inclusion in Extensive VC Addons for WPBakery page builder 1.9.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute PHP code. The unauthenticated extensive_vc_init_shortcode_pagination AJAX action passes its shortcode_name parameter into extensive_vc_get_module_template_part without sufficient path normalization or validation, enabling attacker-chosen PHP files to be included. Network access to the WordPress AJAX endpoint is sufficient, but code execution requires a suitable PHP file already present on the server.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
