Unpaid order completion via unsigned callbacks
Published Feb 4, 2026 · Updated Feb 4, 2026
Missing authorization in Xendit Payment 6.0.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to mark WooCommerce orders as paid via crafted callbacks. The public wc_xendit_callback endpoint trusts attacker-supplied external_id and PAID or SETTLED values without authenticating the sender or verifying a gateway signature. Exploitation requires enumeration of a valid order identifier and results in fraudulent completion without payment, with resulting financial loss or inventory depletion.
