Cross-user gallery tampering via unchecked AJAX handlers
Published Dec 19, 2025 · Updated Dec 19, 2025
Missing authorization in Image Photo Gallery Final Tiles Grid 3.6.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter any gallery. Its AJAX gallery-management handlers verify a request nonce but pass attacker-selected gallery IDs to database delete, update, and clone operations without checking ownership or the required capability. Contributor-level access and a valid nonce are sufficient to modify, copy, or delete galleries owned by other users, including administrators.
