Missing synchronization in Hitachi Energy RTU500 Series CMU Firmware 13.7.1 through 13.7.4 allows remote attackers to interrupt service. The IEC 61850 client and server stack fails to synchronize TLS renegotiation with active IEC 61850 communications, producing a timing-dependent availability failure. Exploitation requires IEC 61850 client or server operation with TLS configured and affects the CMU hosting the stack.
