CVE-2025-14440Network attack vectorHinoki check available

Unauthenticated account impersonation via unvalidated switch-back cookie

Published Dec 13, 2025 · Updated Dec 13, 2025

Authentication bypass in JAY Login & Register 2.4.01 and earlier allows remote attackers to impersonate any WordPress user via a cookie. The jay_login_register_process_switch_back handler trusts the cookie value as a user identifier without validating its integrity, then establishes that account's authenticated session. Knowledge of a target user's numeric ID is the only reported gate; choosing an administrator grants the attacker's session that account's privileges.
