CVE-2025-14422

User-triggered code execution via pre-allocation integer overflow

Published Dec 23, 2025 · Updated Dec 23, 2025

Integer overflow in GIMP 3.0.6 PNM parsing allows attackers to execute code by convincing a user to open a crafted image. The PNM parser uses unvalidated file data in an integer calculation that can wrap before buffer allocation. Opening the malicious file triggers memory corruption and code execution in the current GIMP process.
