Unauthenticated option overfill via unrestricted AJAX input
Published Mar 26, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Improper input validation in Advanced iFrame 2024.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to overfill a stored option via AJAX. The aip_map_url_callback() handler accepts URL values into advancediFrameParameterData without validating the URLs or limiting the cache to 1,000 entries. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the demonstrated consequence is unauthorized growth and modification of the plugin's stored settings.
