Unauthenticated file read via null-byte path mismatch
Published Dec 23, 2025 · Updated Dec 23, 2025
Arbitrary file read in Kibo IT PhastPress 3.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to read webroot files through crafted URLs. getExtensionForURL validates the decoded URL's apparent extension, but appendNormalized removes the null-byte suffix before constructing the filesystem path. No authentication is required; exposed files include wp-config.php and its database credentials, while access remains limited to the webroot.
