Stored XSS via unescaped roundup shortcode name
Published Dec 17, 2025 · Updated Dec 17, 2025
Stored XSS in WP Recipe Maker 10.2.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject script through a recipe roundup shortcode. The wprm-recipe-roundup-item shortcode insufficiently sanitizes its name attribute and emits the value without adequate output escaping. Contributor-level access is required; the stored script runs in the browser of each user who opens an affected page and can read or alter data available to that session.
