Unauthenticated subscriber data disclosure via trusted identity header
Published Jan 20, 2026 · Updated Jan 20, 2026
Improper authorization in weDevs weMail 2.0.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to read subscriber PII through CSV endpoints. The REST API's CSV permission callback accepts the x-wemail-user header as a user identity without confirming an authenticated WordPress session. The attack requires an administrator email address, which the WordPress users endpoint can expose, to impersonate that account and retrieve imported CSV data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
