Reflected XSS via unescaped taxo_ajax excl parameter
Published Dec 30, 2025 · Updated Dec 30, 2025
Reflected XSS in Advance WP Query Search Filter 1.0.10 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. The taxo_ajax AJAX handler places the POST excl parameter into its HTML response without sanitizing or escaping it. An administrator must be induced to submit a crafted request, after which attacker-supplied script runs in the privileged WordPress browser session.
