Local code execution via unprivileged temporary-file operations
Published Dec 9, 2025 · Updated Dec 9, 2025
Insecure temporary-file creation in Robocode 1.9.3.6 allows local users to execute code or overwrite files through a race. RecordManager.createTempFile performs battle-record file operations outside the AccessController.doPrivileged boundary added by the upstream fix. Exploitation requires local low-privilege access to interfere with temporary-file creation; resulting actions use Robocode's file privileges.
