Recoverable password storage in WebCTRL and Carrier iVu 6.0 through 9.0 allows local attackers to extract password hashes from web session files. The Web session store writes password hashes into local files in a recoverable form, enabling offline cracking or reuse rather than one-way verification. Exploitation requires elevated access to the Windows file system, and recovered credentials can compromise authentication or enable privilege escalation.
