Code execution via uninitialized CATPRODUCT parser variable
Published Mar 13, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Uninitialized variable use in Autodesk AutoCAD and affected toolsets allows attackers to execute code via a crafted CATPRODUCT file. The CATPRODUCT parser uses an uninitialized variable while processing attacker-controlled file content, enabling a crash, sensitive-data reads, or code execution in the current process. A user must open or otherwise cause the application to parse the file; execution remains limited to that user's process context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
