CVE-2025-14262Network attack vector

Unauthorized workflow writes via incorrect owner permissions

Published Dec 8, 2025 · Updated Dec 8, 2025

Incorrect ownership assignment in KNIME Business Hub before 1.17.0 allows remote authenticated users to save jobs into unauthorized spaces. The catalog service saves a job under the job owner's permissions rather than the requesting user's permissions, so space authorization is evaluated against the wrong principal. An attacker must already be able to access another user's job; successful use writes that job into a space where the attacker lacks write permission.
