Database read and modification via unparameterized item_name query
Published Dec 8, 2025 · Updated Dec 8, 2025
SQL injection in Simple Shopping Cart 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read or alter database data through the item_name field. The additems.php handler passes the multipart item_name value directly into an SQL query without sanitization or parameter binding. Reachability requires low-privileged access to the network-exposed request, and impact is bounded by the database account's permissions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
