Code execution via XPS font parser overflow
Published Jan 15, 2026 · Updated Jan 15, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in XPS font parsing in Canon printer firmware 06.02 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. The XPS font parser writes beyond an allocated buffer while processing attacker-controlled font data in a submitted XPS document. Access to a network-reachable printing service is sufficient; successful exploitation executes code on the device, while failed attempts can leave it unresponsive.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
